It all started when…

I was asked to look at a pitch deck. The idea was genius, the pitch deck was ugly. Two years of working at a branding agency had turned me a deck snob! But, the idea was pure, it was necessary and it was right for me to jump in at that moment in time.

Hello Career Guru was an AI-powered career trainer for women to advance professionally. It assessed a user’s skill set using a C-suite data set of successful female executives and created a game plan for advancement and a personal learning community.

We tested the hypothesis in a Beta process, raised a friends and family round through iFundWomen, and built a clickable prototype of the first version of the product. We pitched hard to raise our seed funding round but were warned that our space was more crowded than we thought.

I built our website on Squarespace and it was a solid placeholder and SEO builder for us through 2019.

I was managing the content on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram through October 2019.

This was an incredible journey and I am truly grateful for the experience. I learned so much about the venture capital and angel fundraising process. I had the great fortune of working with some truly wonderful advisors and partners. The platform was sold to Delphine Carter/Buolo Solutions in 2022.
