The smaller the space, the harder the job. Each word must have impact. No squishy verb phrases or boring adjectives allowed. Sometimes you just have 1 brand sentence and 1 product sentence so those word choices must be perfect. It has been a dream working with the team at Silver Creative Group on many innovative food brands. I wrote the copy on these three brands.

We had so much to convey in a very small space. Clean ingredients, low sodium and no preservatives were key points of difference from other blends on shelf. Spice-o-Rama is also a mission driven brand, with a percent of proceeds supporting prostate cancer research. Though our naming process we incorporated the founder’s name into the name of the brand and wrote the package copy to be a direct message from him about “grilling, marinating, and cooking with love.”

ZAVU Superfruit Juice

Brazilian superfruits - caju, acerola and cupuacu – were wholly unknown in the US market, providing an exciting challenge to develop a packaging story for a unique and refreshing line of superfruit juices.  While important to educate the US consumer on the look and more importantly, the taste, of the fruits, we also wanted to convey its Brazilian origin and organic sustainability.

Jumpstart Bodyfuel Vitality Bars

These delicious, vegan, energy bars needed a brand refresh starting with changing the class of bar from "energy" to "vitality." The founder was worried about too much emphasis on vegan since some people don't equate that with delicious. Thus, the definition of veganlicious snacking was born, "where nutritious, plant-based ingredients mix harmoniously with delicious taste."
