Have Women Really Made Progress
Have we really made progress in the past 50 or so years for women’s equality? It matters more to me right now since my two daughters have graduated from college and are in the workforce. And the answer to that question is very unclear. There is some positive change — women have run for President, there are female CEO’s and there is a greater sense of collaboration among female founders and VC’s to “break the patriarchy.”
But there is still a Motherhood Penalty and a Second Shift issue. The time intensive (greedy) industries of tech, finance and law are still struggling to accommodate women. There is a pervasive leadership gap in the C-suite and the salary gap still exists.
